The Water Safety Instructor Course trains instructor candidates to teach programs in the American Red Cross Water Safety Programs: Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim, Adult Swim and water safety courses and presentations. Minimum age to participate is 15 by the course conclusion. Participants must be registered with a personal email and phone number to receive course information and instructions to access the pre-course eLearning program. To qualify, participants must successfully demonstrate Red Cross Level 4 stroke skills competency at or prior to the first session, and present a photo ID/proof of age. Most weekend courses are scheduled on Friday from 4:00-9:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-6:00pm. Most weekday and school vacation courses are scheduled from 8:00am-5:00pm daily. Additional information will be sent upon registration.
