In this class, swimmers will continue to refine their swimming skills while building endurance and confidence in the water. Instruction focuses on introducing front crawl with rotary breathing, back crawl, and elementary backstroke, with attention to proper body position, breathing, and coordinated arm and leg movements. Swimmers will also strengthen their self-rescue skills and swimming independence, preparing them for advancement into youth swimming levels.

To ensure safety and proper placement, participants should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Swimmers may advance to this level by successfully completing Preschool Stage 3 or by passing a swim evaluation. For safety reasons, if a swimmer does not meet the skill requirements for this class, instructors reserve the right to place them in the appropriate level to best support their learning and confidence in the water.
