In this class, swimmers will continue to develop basic self-rescue skills and increase their independent swimming ability through forward movement in the water. Emphasis is placed on building confidence, improving body position, and reinforcing pool safety and rules in a fun, supportive environment.
Required before entering this stage
To ensure safety and proper placement, participants should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Float on the front and back with assistance and recover independently

Roll from front to back with assistance

Demonstrate comfort with front and back glides from the wall
Swimmers may advance to this level by successfully completing Preschool Level 1 or by passing a swim evaluation. For safety reasons, if a swimmer does not meet the skill requirements for this class, instructors reserve the right to place them in the appropriate level to best support their learning and confidence in the water.
