Please register each child attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The EcoZone museum at the South Shore Natural Science Center features interactive exhibits focused on southeastern Massachusetts’s wetlands, woodlands, and meadow ecosystems. Kids will love to see the live turtles, fish, carnivorous plants in Coe’s greenhouse, and to complete our seasonal scavenger hunts. A tunnel underneath the turtle pond exhibit allows kids to crawl though, peer up at turtles from below, and watch them swimming. This is a self-guided experience and you may come any time during the scheduled window. Each week an Environmental Educator will be on site to answer all your questions. An optional story time will be offered at 10:30am for any attendees who wish to participate. Please email skugel@ssymca.org with questions.
Note: The South Shore Natural Science Center is located on 30 acres of land, featuring six interpretive nature trails. During the week, our trails and land is dedicated to our Nature Center Preschool or Summer Camp programs and is not open to the public.
